Are you experiencing pain from a sports injury or chronic condition? We can facilitate your healing with our therapeutic massage, by helping you to relax your muscle and keep them relax during stressful times.
Therapeutic Massage blends a
general Swedish-based massage with muscular therapy techniques to reduce
significant tension in specific muscles due to either muscle strain or
excessive stress. Focus often includes the various aspects of a muscle which
may be compromised and unable to function freely. Accessing these soft
tissue structures may require a greater degree of pressure by the therapist.
Some discomfort may result but a renewed sense of ease and relaxation often
will last for several days. Sessions are customized for individual
needs/issues.

Can increase your range of motion and speed recovery of sore muscles whether you're a seasoned jock or just starting an exercise program. Get one before a workout to loosen up and help protect against injuries. Or get one just after to reduce soreness. The therapist uses the palm of his hand to bear down on the muscles in your legs and back to separate and relax them and his fingers to put direct pressure on a muscle in spasm, which can be painful but will reduce your pain later..
Deep Tissue/Injury Massage focuses on chronic areas of pain due to injury or serious muscle strain. Often uses heat combined with deep specific muscular therapy to restore ease of movement and reduce pain. Generally requires several sessions to be most effective.
Relaxation Massage is the kind you're most likely to encounter at the gym or at a spa. You lie unclothed on a padded table, draped with a sheet, while the therapist applies oil or lotion to his hands or your skin and then uses gliding and kneading strokes and even tapping or shaking to relax your muscles and loosen your joints. This can boost your circulation which can reduce swelling from injury, minimize stress and boost your immune system.
CranioSacral Therapy works with the bones of the skull and sacrum to balance the cerebrospinal fluid which influences many bodily functions. It has proven to be very effective in the treatment of chronic pain, migraine headaches, low-back pain, TMJD, and other stress-related symptoms.
Shiatsu Therapy is performed fully clothed. Uses gentle hand pressure to balance the body's natural healing energy, and can be combined with stretching for optimum results. It relieves problems such as muscular tensions and is effective in treating chronic disorders such as asthma and migraines.

Is prenatal massage for you?
Massage during pregnancy is usually safe for most mothers. Your massage therapist will want to know if you are having any problems or complications with your pregnancy before you begin. If you are, then your therapist will require approval from your primary health care provider before proceeding with any bodywork. Because of the tremendous physical and hormonal changes that occur in the expectant mother, we do not recommend any massage during the first trimester. This is the time for the mother to get comfortable with being pregnant. The second and third trimesters are wonderful times to begin prenatal massage. Massage can be performed anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour, depending on how much time you have and how much discomfort you are experiencing. Once a week during the second trimester is great, and twice a week or more, during the third trimester is wonderful. In our experience we have found that many pregnant moms appreciate their massage therapy appointments because they know relief is at hand. They look forward to their weekly appointments to ease recurring problems, such as sciatica, leg cramps, and back and round ligament pain.
